Tara has been a nurse for over 15 years and believes her calling to care for others during some of their most difficult times is a very sacred gift. Through The Clinic Tara combines her expertise in the arts, research, and movement with her nursing practice to create immersive theater experiences for colleagues in health care that support collective-care.

Alison is a movement artist and wellness facilitator specializing in healthcare spaces. Through dance, adaptive yoga and mindfulness she works with staff, patients, and caregivers to incorporate movement practices into diagnoses to enhance community building between providers and patients.

What is Creative Caregivers? Creative Caregivers is a virtual experience for self-compassion and creative joy. It's a community by and for caregivers where we are seen and heard by each other in both hardship and resilience.
How are you defining 'caregiver'? Anyone who considers themselves as so. This includes healthcare workers, educators, parents, those caring for loved ones, or even busy professionals whose self care has taken a back seat during this difficult season.
What does the workshop entail? The workshop guides participants in creative exercises as a tool for reflection on the caregiving experience. It could include prompts for expressive writing, dancing, visual art, storytelling, and/or mindfulness combined with group discussion, solo creating time and interactive sharing. Guest artists may be in the "room" making original flash pieces in response to our workshop. Every gathering has solo reflecting/creating time, (optional) opportunities to share, and group discussion.
Who leads it? The workshop is co-hosted by Alison Waldman and Tara Rynders RN – a movement facilitator and certified advanced grief recovery specialist. Workshops are led and supported by a rotating panel of highly skilled artist facilitators.
